Chateauneuf du Pape
Chateauneuf-du-Pape (the Pope's new house) is a medieval village between the towns of Orange and Avignon and on the side of a hill, guarded by the ruins of an ancient chateau. From the chateau hill you have an outstanding view of vineyards in all directions.
Our private wine tours in the heart of Provence, visit top AOP crus in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Cotes du Rhone Village, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaumes des Venise, Cairanne, Lirac, Tavel ( the first home to the rosé apellation), and Rasteau.
Our philosophy is to visits vineyards who produce top rated wines (generally 90pts+), have a great welcome for guests and keep driving distances to a minimum. On certain routes we like to stop at only the most famous and interesting cultural sites. Avignon is the perfect starting point to begin your wine vacation and discover some of the best wines in France.
